If you haven’t come down already to admire Mark Stoddart’s new art collection “Voices from the Past,” this weekend is your last chance! The artist himself, Mark Stoddart, will be in Saturday (and maybe on Sunday) to greet you, share stories, answer questions, and entertain you! So come down to The SPORT Gallery this weekend, pay Mark (and us!) a visit, and indulge in his newest creations!

“Voices from the Past” is a collection of digital original art based on the SPORT magazine archive that features some of the greatest athletes African American of the 20th century – Muhammad Ali, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jim Brown, Dr. J, The Big O, The Brown Bomber, Bill Russell, and Jackie Robinson. Mark’s intention with this new collection is to tell and share the stories of these great athletes that have inspired him, in hopes that he too can inspire you by their stories.

New Product: SPORT Skins

The SPORT Gallery has just released it’s newest line of SPORT products, SPORT skins. Made by Gelaskins, SPORT Skins are vinyl tablet covers that offer the protection of a case without the bulk. They are light-weight, easy to apply, and easy to remove. For our first launch we are offering SPORT Skins for the iPad 2 in a series of SPORT magazine cover images. Coming Soon: Tokens and Icons NHL Collection!!!

The new Tokens and Icons NHL collection is in production – and will arrive on our doorstep by December 1st – just in time for the holidays! And I know it seems a bit early to be thinking of Christmas gifts – but I’m just spreading the word about these new pieces so that you can get a little head start on your shopping this year.

Tokens and Icons has had an incredible response to their MLB collection – with game used ball cufflinks from all the major baseball teams at the top of every shopping list… But maybe here in Toronto – where Hockey is what we live and breathe – we haven’t all quite understood the craze. Christmas Market at the Distillery!

Starting tomorrow the Distillery District is having it’s first Christmas Market – which means a lot going on down here. There’s going to be lots of booths, a Ferris wheel, entertainment, and a whole lot of christmas spirit. But what does this mean for us? Longer hours and a fun booth outside. So now’s your chance to scratch off the gifts on your list for all the sports fans in your life (or those you think should be sports fan). We’ve also got a lot of great new hoodies and sweaters to keep you warm when you’re riding the Ferris wheel. And hey, if you get too cold checking out the sites outside, feel free to come keep us company here at the SPORT Gallery.
